Probitas Pacific launches Professional Indemnity capability

As Probitas Pacific launches a Professional Indemnity capability, Mitchell Spurr, the Underwriting Manager for Professional Indemnity, used the occasion to discuss the growing use of artificial intelligence and other technological innovations by professionals and how Probitas provides affirmative coverage for these exposures.

According to Mitchell “…many professional indemnity policies are either silent on these exposures or may contain cyber exclusions that have unintended consequences and potentially exclude loss that is not provided by a cyber insurance policy.”

The suite of products being launched includes tailored products for accountants, architects and engineers, financial planners, management consultants, information technology consultants, insurance brokers, mortgage brokers, real estate agents, travel agents and recruitment consultants. Probitas Pacific also has underwriting appetite for miscellaneous professionals, and design and construction risks and solicitors on an excess basis.
