About Stephen

As Head of Exposure Management , Stephen works closely with the Underwriting teams providing insight to inform their risk selection, optimise portfolios and reinsurance structures. This involves building custom analytical tools and models to give underwriters enhanced insight and streamline workflows.

He has a keen interest in programming and is a SQL and R advanced user, with significant experience of catastrophe modelling programmes AIR and RMS. He contributes this knowledge as part of the Cyber Working Group and InsurTech committee at Probitas 1492.

Stephen started his insurance career at Lloyd’s, where he was Senior Exposure Management Analyst for three years, before moving to a similar role at Axis Capital. He joined the team at Probias 1492 in 2018.

Stephen holds a 1^st Class Honours degree in Physics and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Liverpool.
