About Paul

As Head of Financial Lines, Paul is responsible for the underwriting strategy for the Financial Lines portfolio. Working closely with each team to deliver a disciplined approach to underwriting for the book of business.

Paul has built a diverse portfolio in terms of industry type, risk location and size of business. He is driven to provide high level of cover to policyholders and outstanding service to his broker partners.

Paul has held various underwriting positions in his 16 year career in the insurance market. He started at AIG, moving to Allianz Global Corporate & Speciality where he played a fundamental role as part of the founding Professional Indemnity team, building a market-leading PI proposition.

He brought this knowledge to Probitas in 2016, where his remit was originally to establish the PI team and book of business. Recently, his role has been expanded to also include leadership of the Financial Institutions portfolio.

His appetite for business currently extends to construction, architects, engineers, surveyors, solicitors, accountants, insurance brokers and miscellaneous professions within his PI portfolio. The core focus of his FI portfolio includes banks, insurance companies and investment managers.

Paul has built an impressive team, each of whom are encouraged to provide input and ideas, which serves to create an inclusive working environment.
