About Nick

Nick is Managing Director at Probitas 1492, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure the syndicate is delivering an effective and efficient solutions-driven approach. Under Nick’s direction, Probitas is able to deliver the benefits of being insured with Lloyd’s to the clients of carefully selected distribution partners across the world.

With strong leadership qualities, Nick generously shares his experience with the team, supporting a truly collaborative approach. He appreciates how important the team are to the success of the syndicate, and as such encourages their development and entrepreneurial spirit.

Nick has a particular interest in innovation and the InsurTech space. Since Probitas was established, Nick has championed the advancements of technology at Probitas, and continues to work closely with the teams in this arena.

Beginning his insurance career at Segwick in 1981, Nick moved to Marsh in 1986. In 2009, he was appointed as a Board Member of Marsh Ltd and Chief Executive Officer at Bowring Marsh, the company’s specialist international broking division spanning Bermuda, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Miami, Sao Paulo, Singapore and Zurich. In 2013, he joined an independent business consultancy focused solely on the insurance market.

Nick is a founding partner of Probitas 1492, and continues to uphold the vision and values of the business.
