About Meera

As Chief Actuarial Officer, Meera is responsible for leading the reserving and capital modelling function at Probitas. She works collaboratively with the wider business, in particular with Donald Brignell, Jonathan Neil and Nav Nirala. She also works alongside Natalie D’Ambrosio to ensure regulatory requirements prescribed by Lloyd’s and the PRA are adhered to.

Meera is responsible for developing optimal modelling techniques and automation to result in efficient processes and insightful data. Spearheading the robust and scalable processes within her team, Meera is focused on enabling high-quality quantitative and qualitative insights on performance to make strategic plans and decisions now and for continued growth in the future.

She also provides support to the wider management team on business planning and strategy, underwriting and reinsurance arrangements.

Before joining Probitas, Meera was the Head of Reserving for Antares Managing Agency and QIC Global. She also held the role of Syndicate Chief Actuary & Executive Director for Antares Managing Agency. And, has previously worked for KPMG as an Actuarial Manager, specialising in the insurance market.

Meera has a MSci Mathematics degree from Imperial College and has completed the LMA Inspirational Leadership Programme at Oxford University Business School. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and Holder of the Chief Actuary practising Certificate (non-life/Lloyd’s).
