About Jonathan

As Head of Reserving, Jonathan works closely with Meera and the rest of the Managing Agency Risk team. He is responsible for establishing and running the reserving process and outputs.

Jonathan has worked to integrate the reserving process with Probitas’ market-leading data warehouse. The process combines proprietary software and tools built in-house, to be efficient and scalable as Probitas continues to grow. He and the reserving team work closely with underwriters, claims and management to understand the risk profile of the business and feedback on reserving issues and trends.

Jonathan started his career at Deloitte as a Management Consultant, before moving to QBE to specialise as an Actuary in Insurance. Whilst at QBE, he qualified as an actuary and worked across several lines of business, as well as being involved in reserving process and tool improvements. As Lead Actuary for the European portfolio, he sat on QBE’s European Management Group.

Jonathan has a Mathematics degree from the University of Warwick and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
