As an INED Hilary provides Probitas with an independent perspective, focused on supporting and constructively challenging the wider management team. She offers the team a breadth of experience in the industry, and her background provides insight over several key areas, including governance, risk, technology and conduct.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Hilary’s career has been heavily focused on auditing and consulting and she brings extensive experience covering all aspects of Lloyd’s market supervision over underwriting and market risks, business process, IT and emerging technologies, as well as major market modernisation programmes. Her time as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Lloyd’s also brings a thorough understanding of risk and the Lloyd’s market.
With broad international experience in insurance, banking and technology; providing risk insight and advice over global strategies, operations and compliance, Hilary brings a unique perspective to the Probitas team.
As Chair of Lloyd’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Hilary reinvigorated and led initiatives within the Lloyd’s Corporation.
She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law for her contribution to insurance and diversity.
