About Neila

Neila is Chief Underwriting Officer – Casualty at Probitas 142, where she leads the underwriting teams for both Casualty (International Casualty and UK Liability) and Financial Lines (Management Liability, Professional Indemnity and Financial Institutions). Her focus on underwriting discipline and strategy is infectious and, under her leadership, the teams have built a reputable book of insurance and reinsurance business across the globe. Working closely with Antony Dodson and the Analytics team to ensure that policyholders are receiving a robust product solution.

Neila joined the insurance market in 1988, holding various broking positions at Heath Fielding Insurance Brokers, before joining QBE in 2000, as an International Liability Underwriter.

Spending 16 years at QBE, she held various roles, culminating in 2013 with her being appointed as Director of Canada & Middle East with responsibility for Property and Casualty business written both locally and in London. In 2014, she took over the International Casualty portfolio, becoming Director of International Casualty, Middle East and Canada.

Alongside the rest of the leadership team, Neila upholds the syndicates vision and values. As a successful woman in insurance, Neila mentors others, offering support and sharing her experience in the industry to encourage others to advance their own career path.
