About Marcus

As Chief Operations Officer, Marcus is responsible for post-placement service functions include Claims, Operations, Outsourcing and IT and delivering the Target Operating Model having led the buildout and regulatory approval of Probitas Managing Agency.

Marcus has a collaborative approach and upholds the company values of building a diverse and innovative insurance business, which prides itself on integrity and delivering for customers and shareholders.

He started his career at Royal & SunAlliance as a graduate trainee, specialising in commercial underwriting and pricing. In 2007, Marcus joined Direct Line Group to manage the underwriting performance of RBS, NatWest and Direct Line for business channels of sale. Marcus went on to become Area Manager for the broker intermediated division (NIG). In 2014, he transitioned to the Lloyd’s market, as Active Underwriter and Executive Director of Syndicate 1110.

In 2017, Marcus joined the Probitas team. His experience of working in a diverse range of insurance businesses and distribution channels, provides a unique perspective on the insurance market, which plays an integral part of his role today.
