As General Counsel, Kate Stephens is responsible for all aspects of legal work at Probitas.  

Working closely with all departments at Probitas, Kate provides legal advice on transactions, sanctions, regulatory adherence, contracts and policy wordings.  

Before joining Probitas, Kate worked as a Legal Contractor with clients including Aspen, Zurich and Probitas. Before that, she worked at QBE Insurance as Head of Claims: Performance Risk and Review and at Mayer Brown, for over 10 years, as a Senior Associate.  

Kate has a BA Hons 2:1 in History and Spanish and is a Qualified Solicitor with a Diploma in Law and Common Professional Examination, which she passed with distinction.    

Kate was previously a Trustee for Demelza Hospice Care for Children in Kent.
