About Donald

As Chief Risk Officer, Donald is responsible for overseeing Probitas’ actuarial, risk, and compliance functions. He works closely with Meera Shah, Natalie D’Ambrosio and the rest of the Managing Agency Risk & Compliance team.

As part of Probitas’ objective to build a class-leading Actuarial, Risk and Compliance function, Donald brings his expertise to bear in developing and integrating a strong framework for governance and control, aligned with Probitas’ existing underwriting and analytics led culture.

Donald is responsible for understanding the developing landscape of threats and opportunities that the business faces and ensuring that Probitas has the right management information at its fingertips to decide on the optimal response.

He is a highly respected and experienced Actuary with a background in risk management, capital modelling, reserving and process efficiency. With a keen focus on integrating the latest technologies into his teams’ workflows and processes, Donald continually looks to improve the accuracy, efficiency and scalability of his team’s outputs.

Before joining Probitas, Donald was a Director in PwC’s actuarial team, where he led the risk analytics consulting business, consulting with clients across a range of market sectors. He also led the technology development initiative within his business unit, so brings a depth of experience to his role at Probitas.
