About Chae

Chae Andrews is the Reserving Manager at Probitas 1492 and is responsible for running and enhancing the automation of the reserving process and outputs. Working closely with the reserving, underwriters, claims, and finance teams to identify risk feedback trends and set appropriate reserves.

Chae possesses strong analytical skills and the ability to utilise data and modern programming languages to automate processes & clearly communicate insights to the wider business.

Before joining Probitas he worked at Aviva as a reserving Actuary. Prior to that he worked at Esure, where he qualified as an actuary and focused on general insurance personal lines reserving and the implementation of IFRS17.  Chae started his career at Aviva, where he held multiple roles, including Commercial Life Underwriting, Personal Lines General Insurance Data Science team, and Data Consultant.

Chae graduated with a Mathematics degree from the University of Warwick and Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
