About Ben

Ben is the CFO at Probitas, responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of both the Syndicate and Managing Agency.

Championing the wider use and implementation of automated reporting capabilities to ensure that all reports are delivered timely and in an accurate manner, Ben works closely with all functions of the business. He is responsible for the planning, review and submission of all financial reporting to Lloyd’s and other regulatory authorities, working closely with third party stakeholders including, external auditors, legal advisors, HMRC, and shareholders.

Ben has a keen eye for data, aligning with Probitas’ ambitions and progressive approach to using advanced analytics.

Before joining Probitas, Ben held a variety of finance roles, including Financial Controller at Canopius, Financial Reporting Manager at Prosight and Liberty Specialty Markets. He has also worked for PKF Littlejohn, providing audit and consultancy services to insurance clients, so has a breadth of knowledge of the industry.

He holds a Mathematics degree from the University of York and is both a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Chartered Insurer (ACII)
